On the occasion of the presentation of the progress report on GAIA-X by the German Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Energy, Peter Altmaier, and the French Minister for the Economy and Finance, Bruno Le Maire, in June 2020 the BDI and its French partner association MEDEF published a joint declaration on the European cloud project. The two associations welcome GAIA-X as a successful European project that should serve as an example for other digital initiatives in Europe.
