The ECJ's Schrems II ruling continues to have a massive impact on the German economy. In September 2020, the German business associations had already issued an open letter calling for a measured implementation of the ruling and for swift political solutions. As there is still no concrete regulatory proposal, the business associations have now renewed their call for permanent political solutions.
