End of July 2018, the EU and the Japanese Government agreed to enhance the transfer of data between the two regions. BDI and Keidanren urge their respective governments to swiftly complete the necessary internal procedures required to operate this framework. Implementing this agreement will help to develop the digital economy in both jurisdictions. Moreover, we call for a strengthening of international cooperation in the field of cybersecurity.
