The circular economy offers a lot of potential to redesign value creation processes and business models. In addition to industrial innovations, however, suitable framework conditions are also needed in order to design long-lasting, sustainable and recyclable products and to manage them in cycles. With a view to the 20th German legislative period, the BDI Circular Economy Initiative, together with other BDI bodies, has identified six essential action fields for politicians.
