After completing his studies in electrical engineering and economics in Aachen and London in 2007, Thomas Dederichs initially worked as a research assistant in the field of energy technology at RWTH Aachen University until 2011.
He then moved to the Federal Network Agency, where, as a policy advisor, he focused on grid development planning, incentive regulation, and market design. From 2014 to 2017, he headed the Energy Networks Department at the German Association of Energy Industries (BDEW) before joining innogy SE as a policy advisor for energy policy (distribution networks).
Since 2019, he has held various management positions at Amprion GmbH, currently serving as Head of System Development.
