Dr. Uwe Lauber has served as Chairman of the Executive Board of MAN Energy Solutions SE (formerly MAN Diesel & Turbo SE) since January 1, 2015. In January 2023, he also assumed responsibility for global sales and after-sales operations. Dr. Uwe Lauber was born in Bad Säckingen in 1967; he is married and the father of two children. He studied mechanical engineering and industrial engineering in Konstanz and St. Gallen and earned his Ph.D. in mechanical engineering from the University of Kronstadt in 2009.

Before joining MAN Diesel & Turbo in 2010, Dr. Uwe Lauber held executive positions at BOC Cryostar and Sulzer Turbo.

After four years as cross-site head of the Oil & Gas Business Unit at MAN Diesel & Turbo and as Managing Director of MAN Diesel & Turbo Schweiz AG, he became a member of the Executive Board of MAN Diesel & Turbo SE in October 2014. In this role, he was responsible for the company’s global sales and after-sales division until January 1, 2016. From June 2016 to December 2020, he also served as Chief Technology Officer, overseeing the Research and Development division. From March 2017 to December 2018, he was a member of the Executive Board of MAN SE.

Dr. Uwe Lauber is Chairman of the VDMA Engines and Systems Association (since 2018) as well as Chairman of the VDMA Working Group “Power-to-X for Applications” (since 2018) and a member of the German Federal Government’s National Hydrogen Council (since 2020).
