Peter Leibinger has chaired the Supervisory and Administrative Board of TRUMPF SE + Co. KG since 2023. As a shareholder and long-standing member of the executive team, he has played a key role in shaping the development of this high-tech company since 1994. Born in Stuttgart in April 1967, Leibinger holds a degree in mechanical engineering (RWTH Aachen) and looks back on a decades-long, successful career in management. After initial professional roles as a development engineer in the U.S., he served as CEO of the U.S. subsidiary TRUMPF, Inc. from 1999 to 2003.

In 2000, Peter Leibinger joined the Group’s leadership as Managing Director of the holding company and managing partner. Starting in 2005, he also served for 13 years as CEO of the strategically important Laser Technology and Electronics division and steered the fortunes of the entire Group as Deputy Chairman of the Group Executive Board. From 2018 until his move to the top of the Supervisory Board in 2023, he served as Chief Technology Officer (CTO), overseeing research and development, global sales and service, as well as the establishment and expansion of new, forward-looking business areas for the family-owned company. Peter Leibinger is married and the father of four children.
