Sebastian Pache
As Public Affairs, Government, and Business Relations Executive at Esri Germany, the global market leader in digital twins, Sebastian Pache is responsible for strategic partnerships, association and committee work, and liaising with policymakers and government agencies, among other duties.
A graduate in geography, geoinformatics, and landscape ecology, he has many years of management experience at the intersection of industry, technology, and politics. Previously, he worked for the U.S. corporation General Electric, most recently in the GE Energy Management and GE Digital business units.
His work focuses on key digital technologies and data-driven ecosystems—particularly in the context of digital twins, artificial intelligence, GeoAI, and satellite-based applications—including new industrial opportunities in Low Earth Orbit (LEO).
Sebastian Pache was a member of the National IT Summit and is currently Chairman of the Board of the Bitkom Geoinformation Working Group. There, he advocates for open standards, data-driven innovations, and the promotion of technology openness in the interest of digital sovereignty—as the foundation for the competitiveness of German industry in a global context.
Particularly at the intersection of Earth observation and geospatial AI—which serves as the basis for key civilian, industrial, and government applications —he sees low Earth orbit as the next evolutionary stage of digital value creation and a crucial lever for resilient dual-use infrastructures, as well as for Europe’s civil and security-related sustainability.
