

Hauke Stars
Stars was born on June 3, 1967. She studied applied computer science at the Technical University of Magdeburg and went on to earn a Master of Science in Engineering in England. Her entire professional career has also been closely linked to information technology.
Stars began her professional career in the early 1990s in the IT division of Bertelsmann. In 1998, she moved to the IT service provider Triaton. There, she was initially responsible for software development and, starting in 2000, served as a member of the executive board in charge of sales and marketing. Triaton was acquired by Hewlett Packard (HP) in 2004, and Stars continued her career with this globally active IT group. At HP, she was responsible for the IT services business in the Netherlands and, starting in 2007, served as managing director of HP’s Swiss operations.
In 2012, she joined the DAX40-listed Deutsche Börse AG as a member of the Executive Board, where she was responsible for IT, capital markets, and, as the Group’s Director of Labor Affairs, human resources until 2020.
In addition, the technology and financial markets expert has served on supervisory boards since 2009, currently holding positions on the supervisory boards of the energy supplier RWE and the logistics company Kühne+Nagel.
The Supervisory Board of Volkswagen AG has appointed Hauke Stars as a member of the Board of Management of Volkswagen AG for the “IT” division, effective February 1, 2022. In this role, Stars is responsible for all Group-wide activities in the areas of IT, data, organizational development, and process management.
