Hans Wolf von Koeller
Dr. Hans Wolf von Koeller has been Head of Energy Policy since 2014 and represents the Steag Iqony Group in Berlin and Brussels. Previously, he was Head of Corporate Development and was responsible, among other things, for project management related to power plant projects. Dr. von Koeller holds a degree in economics.
He actively participates in European and German discussions on energy and climate policy. He monitors and contributes to discussions on the structure of the energy market, particularly with regard to flexibility—such as storage—as well as heat, electricity, and gas.
He has been with STEAG for more than 25 years and has had the opportunity to observe the development of German and European energy policy from various perspectives: starting under a strictly regulated and national regime, then market-oriented liberalization, re-regulation within the framework of the Green Deal, and now, once again, the discussion on simplification.
