

Dieter Wegener
After completing his studies in aerospace engineering, Dieter Wegener worked as a researcher and consultant at McKinsey before joining Siemens in 1996 as head of the gas turbine development division.
Throughout his career at Siemens, he held various leadership roles in the technology sector, including Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for the Industry Division.
Dieter Wegener has been Vice President and Head of the External Collaboration Department at Siemens Technology for 10 years, and since 2026 has served as Head of the DPP4.0 Office at Siemens Foundational Technologies.
In addition, he has served as spokesperson for Industry 4.0 and chairman of the DPP4.0 Forum at ZVEI e.V. (German Electrical and Digital Industry Association) since 2014. Since 2015, he has served as Vice Chair of the Steering Committee of the DKE (German Commission for Standardization in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, and Information Technology), and since 2026 as Vice Chair (acting Chair).
