Cathrin Wilhelm is an entrepreneur and investor in the defense industry. She serves as the SME representative for the Federal Association of the German Security and Defense Industry (BDSV) and, in this capacity, acts as spokesperson for approximately 500 SME member companies of the BDSV. In this role, she has also represented the association within its European umbrella organization.

Cathrin Wilhelm is a member of the supervisory board and a shareholder of AVILUS GmbH, a Munich-based startup founded in 2021. Avilus’s products focus on autonomous aerial logistics support for civilian and tactical missions. In addition to the electric multicopter “Grille” (rescue drone), two other drones with greater range and payload capacity have already been certified for flight. Avilus is currently considered the largest spin-off from the Technical University of Munich in the dual-use and defense sectors, with over 150 employees.
