Dr. Jeannette zu Fürstenberg is President and Managing Director of the global technology investor General Catalyst. She oversees the firm’s European operations and drives its global expansion strategy.

Dr. zu Fürstenberg serves on the advisory boards of numerous prominent European AI companies, including Mistral, Helsing, Parloa, and Legora. She has supported most of these companies since their early stages. In addition, she is an active member of the Board of Trustees at the IfW Kiel and a core member of the Tech Strategy Initiative (TSI) of the Munich Security Conference (MSC).

Dr. zu Fürstenberg is the initiator of the EU AI Champions Initiative (EUAICI), an alliance of over 140 European companies aimed at securing Europe’s industrial and technological competitiveness in the AI era. She is also a co-author of the so-called SPARTA strategy papers, which map out the technological and financial prerequisites for Europe’s defense autonomy.
