
Holger Lösch was born in Schweinfurt in 1963. He is married and has two children.
From 1983 to 1991, he studied political science, history, and German language and literature at Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich.
Even while he was a student, he began working as a journalist and editor in the television division of Bayerischer Rundfunk. Starting in 1995, he headed the staff of the television division at Bayerischer Rundfunk until he took over as head of Central Program Coordination in 1998.
In 2001, Holger Lösch moved from Bayerischer Rundfunk to the Schörghuber Group in Munich, where he served as Head of Central Communications and Marketing until 2007. Starting in 2006, he was also a member of the executive board.
From 2007 to 2008, he was responsible for corporate development, communications, and customer relationship management at Arabella Hotel-Holding in Munich.
In 2008, he became Head of Communications and Marketing at the BDI, and in 2009 he also joined the Executive Board.
Holger Lösch has been a member of the Executive Board since July 2011 and Deputy Executive Director of the BDI since April 2017.
