This study shows how well Germany is placed as a location for research and development in the industrial health sector: IHS is responsible for high R&D expenditure and accordingly secures future added value. Furthermore, the commitment gives rise to an elevated employment effect. Nevertheless, the study also shows that the sector’s growth dynamic is currently falling behind, and that development of the industrial health sector has reached a plateau.
