Sebastian Klaus is CEO and Co-Founder of ATMOS Space Cargo, a European space company with locations in Lichtenau (Germany) and Strasbourg (France). ATMOS develops reusable Orbital Transfer and Reentry Vehicles (OTRV) named PHOENIX for the transport, operation and controlled return of mission-critical payloads from Low Earth Orbit.

Prior to founding ATMOS, Sebastian served as an officer with the German Armed Forces Special Forces (Kommando Spezialkräfte, KSK). He holds a Master of Science in Aerospace Engineering with a focus on atmospheric re-entry and reusable rocket engines, and an MBA from ESB Business School Reutlingen. He also holds a commercial pilot licence, has deep expertise in parachute systems, and has developed several patented technologies for atmospheric re-entry and landing.

With ATMOS, Sebastian is building an independent European transport and return infrastructure between orbit and Earth, designed for regular scientific, industrial, and security-relevant missions.
