The European Biotech Act I represents an important step towards strengthening Europe’s biotechnology and biomanufacturing ecosystem. This position paper outlines recommendations to reduce regulatory fragmentation, improve access to capital, and create innovation-friendly framework conditions that support competitiveness, resilience, and growth across the biotechnology and Life Sciences sector. It also highlights the importance of a broader Biotech Act II to unlock the full potential of biotechnology across the European economy.
