BDI generally welcomes the European Commission’s Cloud and AI Development Act, as it recognises that technological sovereignty requires investment and innovation rather than regulation alone. To achieve CADA’s objectives to enhance Europe’s cloud and AI capabilities, however, the regulation must avoid additional burdens, preserve technological choice and safeguard European competitiveness by taking the attached policy recommendations into account.
