The Federal Network Agency (BNetzA) has been working on a new electricity grid tariff system since last spring. The new grid tariff system (AgNes) will replace the existing system for calculating grid charges, which is set to expire at the end of 2028. In recent months, the BNetzA has discussed the five individual topics of AgNes with industry representatives in various workshops. It is expected to announce its initial findings in May of this year, before moving on to the finalization of AgNes by the end of 2026.
