The Committee for Socio-Economic Analysis (SEAC) of the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) published its draft opinion on the restriction of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) in March 2026. This was followed by a public consultation in which the Federation of German Industries (BDI) participated with the present submission. The BDI position paper evaluates the current status of the restriction procedure and outlines possible solutions.
