German industry appreciates the European legislators’ intention to augment the cyber-resilience of products with digital elements. The European Commission’s proposal for the Cyber Resilience Act entailed several areas for improvement, some of which are well addressed by MEP Danti’s draft report. Other amendments, such as the multiple reporting obligations per incident, however, go in the wrong direction. The paper analyses the draft report and outlines further amendments.
