Essential requirements for the Digital Product Passport (DPP)

Digital Product Passports (DPPs) enable the digital collection and provision of product-related information along the entire value chain. This makes them a strategic instrument for the transition toward a circular, digital, and resilient economy at both the European and national level. At the same time, they offer companies new opportunities to develop sustainable business models, strengthen their innovative capacity and competitiveness, and provide solutions for the availability and exchange of harmonized digital data. To fully unlock this potential, the needs of industry must be taken into account.
