Antônio Ricardo Alvarez Alban is a mechanical engineer and business manager. He took over the presidency of CNI in October 2023, for a four-year term. From 2014 to 2023, he was President of the Federation of Industries of the State of Bahia (FIEBA) and the Center of Industries of the State of Bahia (CIEB). He was Vice President of CNI from 2018 to 2023. Ricardo Alban is also President of the National Council of the National Service for Industrial Training (SENAI) and of the Higher Council of the Euvaldo Lodi Institute (IEL), and Director of the National Department of the Social Service of Industry (SESI). He is a member of the National Advisory Board of the National Support Service for SME´s (Sebrae), the National Council for Fertilizers and Plant Nutrition (Confert), and the National Industrial Development Council (CNDI). He was an executive at the Citibank Group and is managing partner of Biscoitos Tupy, a traditional food factory founded by his family..
