

Sarah Brückner
Dr. Sarah Brückner earned her Ph.D. in mechanical engineering from the Technical University of Munich, where her dissertation focused on industrial waste heat generation in Germany. She also earned a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from ETH Zurich, specializing in renewable energy technologies, and a degree in mechanical engineering with a focus on energy and thermal engineering from RWTH Aachen University. In addition, she completed a continuing education program in process management at Ruhr University Bochum.
Throughout her professional career, she has served, among other roles, as Director of the Valves Sector at EUnited Valves and as a consultant for the VDMA. During her doctoral studies, she gained extensive experience in energy research, including at the Bavarian Center for Applied Energy Research, the Renewable Energy Research Center in Lleida, and the ifeu Institute in Heidelberg. An earlier stage of her career also included freelance work on a BMBF project focused on energy-efficient urban development.
