Jochen Hanebeck has served as Chairman of the Board of Management of Infineon Technologies AG since April 1, 2022. In this role, the experienced executive is responsible for the strategic direction of the global semiconductor manufacturer. In addition to corporate strategy and the operating divisions, his broad portfolio of responsibilities includes Legal & Patents, Corporate Governance, and global corporate communications. As Chief Human Resources Officer, he also heads the Human Resources department. In addition, he is responsible for key strategic functions such as Strategic Funding Management, Mergers & Acquisitions, Public Policy, as well as the CTO’s core areas of Research and Development, Central Design, and Start-ups & Ventures. His current term runs until March 31, 2027.

His deep roots in the company date back to 1994, when he began his career as a development engineer in DRAM development at the former Siemens AG (from which Infineon emerged in 1999) in East Fishkill, USA. This was followed by pioneering roles as Head of DRAM Technology Development in Dresden and as Assistant to the Chief Operating Officer. Starting at the turn of the millennium, Hanebeck assumed increasing global leadership responsibilities in the company’s operations. He headed the operations divisions of the Chip Card & Security and Automotive, Industrial & Multimarket business units before taking over as President of the Automotive Division in 2008, successfully leading it for over eight years.

In 2016, Jochen Hanebeck was appointed to Infineon’s Executive Board and initially played a key role in shaping the Group’s growth as Chief Operating Officer (COO). In this role, he held overall responsibility for global manufacturing, logistics, quality assurance, customs, and procurement. Born in Dortmund in 1968, the semiconductor expert holds a degree in electrical engineering from the renowned RWTH Aachen University.
