Claudia Keibler-Willner is the network manager of the SAXFUSION Fusion Competence Network at the Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf (HZDR). A mechanical engineer, she has more than 18 years of experience in research, innovation, and strategic technology management. For over five years, she has been shaping the development of the German fusion ecosystem at the intersection of science, industry, politics, and standardization.

In addition to her work at SAXFUSION, she plays a key role in national and international standardization efforts for fusion technology. She is the chair of the DIN working committee on “Design and Operation of Fusion Facilities” as well as the head of the German delegation to the ISO standardization committee, and, together with DIN, has played a key role in establishing an ISO subcommittee for fusion technology. In addition, she is vice chair of the DKE Laser Fusion Committee.
Previously, she served as the Fraunhofer Society’s program coordinator for fusion research, where she was responsible for the strategic networking of research, industry, and public stakeholders. Her focus is on creating suitable framework conditions both for the transfer of knowledge from science to industry and for the industrial implementation of fusion energy in Europe.
