Dr. Alexandra-Gwyn Paetz has served as head of the “Technological Sovereignty and Innovation” department at the Federal Ministry of Research, Technology, and Space since August 2025 and oversees the High-Tech Agenda for Germany. From 2022 to 2025, she led the Berlin University Alliance and played a key role in raising the profile of the network of excellence. Prior to that, she spent several years in various roles—most recently as Head of Strategic Development and Communication—helping to shape the merger of the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology. Before the business administration graduate entered the field of science management, she worked in the energy industry.
