The European Commission’s proposal for the establishment of EU Business Wallets (EBW) is a significant milestone for enhancing trust through authentication in Business-to-Business and Business-to-Government interactions. However, the EBW will only strengthen the digital single market if it replaces existing national solutions and is not introduced in addition to them. BDI proposes targeted amendments that will ensure that the regulation’s goals can be reached.
