Dr. Dennis Rendschmidt hat über zwanzig Jahre Unternehmens- und Politikerfahrung in den Bereichen Energie und Klima. Als Geschäftsführer von VDMA Power Systems repräsentiert er den Energieanlagenbau.
Zuvor verantworte er die Bereiche Politik und Kommunikation bei weiteren Verbänden, darunter bis 2018 als stellvertretender Abteilungsleiter Energie- und Klimapolitik beim Bundesverband der Deutschen Industrie.
Seine Berufslaufbahn begann er bei der Unternehmens- und Management-Beratung A.T. Kearney. Er ist gelernter Bankkaufmann, Ökonom und als gebürtiger Westfale Fan von Borussia Dortmund.

The future of European industrial policy must be re-assessed in the light of competitiveness, sovereignty, and climate action. These elements must be well-balanced to allow for business to play out its full potential for sustainable, climate-neutral growth. The past legislative period was characterized by climate action ambition and energy policy disruption. In the meantime, the competitiveness of the German economic engine has decreased considerably. What are the consequences for European policy? Which European transformation paths are the right ones to strengthen economic power and combat climate change?
