From August 1 to November 6, 2025, the European Commission conducted a public consultation on the Circular Economy Act, which is scheduled to be published in the third quarter of 2026. In its statement, the BDI emphasizes that it welcomes the Commission's initiative to harmonize European circular economy legislation and makes suggestions as to what a successful Circular Economy Act might look like.
