Ludmila Nascimento has assumed various roles at Vale in Logistics, Corporate Strategy and Marketing before becoming Director of Energy and Decarbonization. Prior to this current position, she was also CEO of Tecnored, a technology development Vale subsidiary that produces a sustainable pig iron by employing biomass within its processes.

Additionally, she was a member of board of directors of Companhia siderurgia de Pecém (CSP- Pecem Steel company), Associação Brasileira de Metalurgia (Brazilian Metallurgy Association). Currently holds a position as a board member at Aliança Geração and Norte Energia S.A.
