The BDI welcomes the introduction of government subsidies for renewable electricity-based aviation fuels (eSAF) as an important contribution to the market ramp-up of climate-neutral aviation. At the same time, a level playing field, long-term investment certainty, and further development of the European regulatory framework are necessary to sustainably support this expansion.

Der Hochlauf CO2-neutraler Kraftstoffe ist neben der Antriebswende der zentrale Hebel für die Defossilisierung des Verkehrs. Der Gesetzgeber sollte die nationale Umsetzung der RED III daher zur Verabschiedung eines Maßnahmenbündels nutzen, das Investitionssicherheit schafft, Rohstoffpotenziale nutzbar macht, wirksame Anreize setzt und Versorgungssicherheit garantiert.
