With the Draghi Report, Europe’s productivity weakness moved to the center of the competitiveness debate. Two years later, the first signs of progress are visible, particularly in digitalization and the adoption of artificial intelligence. However, a broad-based turnaround in productivity, innovation, and investment has yet to materialize. The key challenge now is to translate announced reforms into tangible results for Europe’s competitiveness.
