Sonja Álvarez studied political science, economics and European law in Göttingen and Geneva and graduated from the German School of Journalism in Munich.
Before joining WirtschaftsWoche, she worked at Berlin's Tagesspiegel, where she led the decision-maker briefings on digitalization & artificial intelligence and transport & smart mobility. Prior to that, she was an editor in the business section, where she reported on economic policy, digital topics and the networked society, among other things.
